We produce two basic styles of trousers. The traditional Broadfall and the more common fly front. Both styles have size adjusting lacing in the back.
The most common variations of these trousers are as follows:
1. Broad fall trousers may have as many (or as few) buttons as the customer wishes, but 13 5/8-inch buttons is the most we have been able to fit on the fall. These trousers come with welt pockets set in at the waistband.
2. Fly front trousers generally had side seam pockets, but we can put in welt pockets if the customer wishes.
3. With welt pockets, we can make the trousers without a seam running down the outside of the trouser leg if the customer wishes.
Note: There is no evidence at this time that the CSN issued gray Broadfall trousers. It appears that all gray trousers issued to CSN Sailors were Fly front with side seam pockets.
Same variations as above, except that white trousers are made from cotton drill. We will use cotton duck if the customer requests it. All buttonholes and lacing eyelets are hand sewn on our trousers.
