Blue (Monkey) Jacket: Made of 100% Wool, lined in Osenburg with muslin sleeve linings. 2 outside welt pockets and 1 inside inset pocket. 2 rows of 9 Navy buttons on front, set at two and one half inches apart between the eyes. 3 Navy buttons on each functional cuff. All button holes hand sewn. USN version is the most common war time "Shawl" collar. CSN version has the earlier "Notched" collar of the 1852 regs. Note: for CSN jackets, medium size CSN buttons are not reproduced, so we use USN buttons which is correct.
