Sea Bags
Our Sea
bags are made of cotton Duck canvas. They measure 12 inches across the
bottom, and 36 inches tall finished. We work in hand sewn grommets in the
top and splice in a length of line for the closure. We use manila line.
The Navy had replaced most Hemp line with Manila by the mid 1850s, so this is
period correct
.

Our Ditty Bags are made of the same cotton Duck canvas as our Sea Bags. Again, we hand work in grommets and lace it with hemp cord for a closure.
